Grant Funding Cycles
- Cycle 1 - Due March 1 for review by the NWCUF Grants Committee by March 15.
- Cycle 2 - Due July 1 for review by the NWCUF Grants Committee by July 15.
- Cycle 3 – Due December 1 for review by the NWCUF Grants Committee by December 15.
To be considered for funding during a grant cycle, applications must be submitted by the last day of each grant cycle. Applications received after the last day of each cycle will be held for consideration at the next grant cycle and may be submitted at any time.
Eligibility and Guidelines
Through the NWCUF Small Credit Union Development Grant, credit unions with an asset size up to $35 million can receive up to $5,000 per calendar year.
NWCUF Small Credit Union Development Grants are available help credit unions with a variety of programs including but not limited to:
- Technology
- Security Upgrade & Improvements
- Marketing
- Asset/ Liability Management
- Strategic Planning
- Customized Training Opportunities
- Consulting Services
- Operations
Specific Guidelines
- Projects must have clearly defined, measurable and achievable goals and objectives.
- Projects must be accompanied by a project budget and any other pertinent supporting documentation.
- No more than one grant proposal per credit union may be submitted during a funding cycle.
- Grant funding may be available for up to $5,000 per credit union in a 12-month period.
Grant Making Process
- Complete and submit the NWCUF Grant application online (below) or download the application here.
- Staff will conduct the initial review of applications for consideration by the NWCUF Grants Committee, and may follow up for additional information if needed.
- Approval/denial of applications will be communicated with applicants within one week of NWCUF Grants Committee review (see “Application Cycles” for dates).
- Status reports must be submitted by grantees in accordance with the NWCUF guidelines.
- Funds will be reimbursed by NWCUF upon the successful completion of the project and receipt of the required follow-up report.
